About us

Hello! We’re Julie and Abby, the mother and daughter team behind Amaryllis. Together, we’ve been working across Finance and human resources recruitment for 40 years – Amaryllis is the product of that experience.

We’re a small, family-run business, and that’s what sets us apart from other recruiters: we operate as a family. You won’t find excessive corporate red tape or the impersonal touch of a huge agency. We’re a people business, and that’s how we recruit. We build long-lasting relationships with each one of our clients and candidates.

Our compact team keeps us agile and allows for a more involved approach. There’s always a direct line between Amaryllis and you. We’re hands-on and dedicated, bringing our passion for people to every challenge we face. As a small business trying to grow, we know your pain points, goals, and needs – because we’ve experienced them too.

After years of working for large agencies and in internal recruitment, we decided to join forces and do things our way. We wanted the focus to be on the people, not the numbers. So, in 2015, we set up Amaryllis and made it happen.

Since those early days supporting businesses in our local Surrey and Berkshire area, we’ve grown into a nationwide operation, helping businesses grow all over the UK – but we’ve never forgotten our roots. We’re big believers in supporting your local area, and we donate 5% of our profits to Thames Hospice, as well as supporting them with their recruitment, as they are a charity very close to our hearts.

Keeping it fresh and varied is what makes me different.
