The Head of Field Operations is responsible for leading and developing a large team of Engineers and Managers (600 engineers indirectly and 5 regional managers directly) ensuring a high level of customer service excellence and operational performance is delivered to customers.

Split between Office and Field, this will enable you to provide direct support, engagement and performance management as a team and on a one to one basis. You will coordinate the internal structure, focusing on the company policies, goals and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment, where deadlines are met consistently.

As the head of operations you will liaise with all levels of the business including Health, Safety & Well-being, ensuring the team are compliant with regulations, health and security standards etc. You and your team will be the face of the company, working directly with customers and stakeholders on a daily basis. Therefore, you will be a role model within the business, it is critical that you ensure the team members behave in a manner representative of the company values and professionalism. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team providing support to the Technical Director and Board.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performance managing a field operations team to deliver excellence and customer service targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client across all levels
  • Monitor and drive performance against key metrics, develop individuals by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one to one’s and creating development plans
  • Driving a culture of engagement and motivation within the team
  • Conducting regular site visits to ensure the high standards expected within the business across all areas
  • Prepare budgets, schedules and other operational reports
  • Providing advice and guidance to members of the business
  • Manage internal and external service suppliers
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment
  • Support all of the team and ensure the achievement of goals
  • Going the extra mile and seeking new opportunities to widen your contribution to the overall success of the company
  • Reporting into the Technical Director you will assist with the enhancement of productivity within the company
  • Supporting the Technical Director and the Senior Management Team with any ad hoc tasks that arise to meet the operational needs of the business
  • Assisting the Senior Leadership Team in settling and achieving goals and objectives that promote company growth

If you have a background in operational management, management of people on a large scale (directly and indirectly), relationship building with stakeholders, the ability the problem solve and are an analytical thinker, this is a brilliant opportunity for you.

IOSH / NEBOSH and First Aid advantageous. Full UK Driving Licence.
