Our client, a global financial service provider, are seeking a qualified accountant with hedge accounting, foreign currency and auditor liaison experience. The purpose of this role is to manage the daily operation of the company and the preparation of accounting and tax reports. As an Accountant you will be responsible for managing two members of staff, a bookkeeper (Back Office) and trader (Front Office).

Back Office duties include tax & accounting and compliance:

• Monthly Management Accounts
• Corporation tax
• Control change of users for Treasury and Netting software
• Control change of users for Bank software
• Keep record of board minutes
• Review of agreements (internal and external)

Front Office duties include bank borrowing, inter-company deposit & loan and foreign exchange dealing:

• Gathering and monitoring group companies cash positions
• Identify FX exposure due to group company operations and recommend solutions to minimise risk.
• Daily and short term cash management for the company
• Twice monthly intergroup netting settlement (include FX dealing and cash settlement)
• FX dealing on behalf of group companies
• Support bank guarantee programme
• Build relationship with banks and other service providers.

This Accountant role will support current and future projects including:

• Review and update VAT arrangements for the company
• Update of transfer pricing documents for the company
• Consider adoption of SAP software (or other) for management accounting
• Review and update record keeping and journal posting for companies accounts.
• Improve analysis and monthly reporting
